Summit League Academic Honor Roll (2023, 2024)

2024 SEASON (SENIOR): Appeared in 35 games with 34 starts…Totaled 24 hits, including eight doubles, a career-high three triples and one home run…Contributed 18 RBI and 13 runs...Tied a career-high four RBI with three hits at Northern Colorado (April 12).

2023 SEASON (JUNIOR): Appeared in 51 games and made 49 starts…Registered a .279 batting average…Connected on 50 hits, including 15 doubles, five home runs and one triple…His 15 doubles were tied for second on the team…Notched 12 multiple hit games and six multiple RBI games…Assembled a team-best 27-game reached base streak from March 3 at Arizona to April 22 against Oral Roberts…Put together a team-best 11-game hit streak from April 29 against Western Illinois to May 20 against South Dakota State…Totaled a season-high four RBI with three hits and two runs against Western Illinois (April 30).

PRIOR TO NDSU: Played two seasons at Nebraska from 2021-22…Appeared in 61 games with 40 starts…Totaled 25 hits with 18 RBI and 20 runs…Earned All-Academic Big Ten honors in 2022.

HIGH SCHOOL: Posted a .406 batting average with 12 RBI and two home runs in his junior season at Rocori High School…Earned All-Conference honors in his junior and senior season…Also played quarterback and help guide his team to an appearance in the 2019 Minnesota Class AAAA football championship.

PERSONAL: Son of Kristine and Todd Steil…Has two brothers, Will and Sam Steil…His dad, Todd, played baseball at St. Cloud State.
