Indoor (Junior): Middle-distance runner...Won the 1,000 meters at the Bison Classic in a time of 2:55.78...Time is fifth all-time at NDSU...Clocked in at 1:34.41 in the 600 meters at the Jack Johnson Classic...Her time ranks fourth all-time at NDSU...Won the mile at the Summit League Championships in 4:57.01, which is eighth in NDSU history...Finished second in the 800 meters at the league championships...Ran the 800 at the Last Chance meet at Notre Dame, finishing seventh in 2:07.47...Time is third all-time at NDSU.

Outdoor (Junior): Competed primarily in the 800 meters...Ran a season-best time of 2:07.86 at Drake Relays...Finished second at the Summit League Championships with a time of 2:11.98...Advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary Round in the 800...Placed 23rd in the first round to advance to the second round...Placed 23rd in the second round in 2:09.89...Came in second in the 1,500 meters at the Summit League Championships...Time of 4:32.36 is ranked sixth all-time at NDSU.

2008-09 SEASON
Cross Country (Sophomore): Competed in six races for the Bison...Finished 47th at the Summit League Championships (6k) in a personal best time of 23:23.90 (11/3)...Competed at the NCAA Midwest Regional and finished 168th in a time of 24:28.65 (11/15).
Indoor (Sophomore): Ran the 800 meters and the mile...Finished second in the 800 at the Summit League Championships in a time of 2:15.98 (2/27)...Came in seventh in the mile at the league championships in 5:12.10 (2/27).
Outdoor (Sophomore): Consistent performer in the 800...Won the event at the Minnesota Open in 2:09.65 (5/8)...Time qualified her for the NCAA Midwest Regional...Finished second at the Summit League Championships in 2:13.78...Also ran the 1,500 at the league championships, finishing 4th in 4:43.26 (5/14)...Set a personal record of 2:06.87 in the preliminaries at the NCAA Midwest Regional...Mark is third all-time at NDSU (5/29)...Came in 23rd in the preliminaries at the NCAA Championships (6/10).

2007-08 SEASON
Indoor (Freshman): Member of the Summit League champion 4x400 relay...Helped set the school record of 11:44.31 in the distance medley relay at the Iowa State Classic.
Outdoor (Freshman): Ran a personal-best of 2:10.97 in the 800 in a third place finish at the Wake Forest Open...Finished fifth in the 800 and fourth in the 1500 at the Summit League Championships...Member of the school record setting 4x800 relay...Also on the Summit League champion 4x400 relay...Participated in the USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships where she finished 13th in the 800 in a time of 2:13.81.
Cross Country (Freshman): Ran a personal-best of 23:54.0 in the Summit League Championships for a 38th place finish.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three year captain and letterwinner in cross country at Perham (Minn.) High School... Was named to the all-state team three times and was a two-time conference champion... Helped lead Perham to a 3rd and two 4th place finishes at the state meet... A four year letterwinner in track, holds the school records in the 400m (58.2) and 1600m (5:07) and was a part of the school record-holding 4x400m and 4x800m relay teams... Member of 4x800m relay team that captured two state championships... Finished in the top five at the state meet in the 800m, including capturing the state championship her senior year... Was a three year captain and four-time all-conference selection... A member of the basketball team where she was a three year letterwinner and served as captain her senior year... Helped lead the team to the sectional finals.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Shane Gigstead and Candy Lachowitzer... Has two older brothers, Tyler and Danny, an older sister, Heather, and three younger sisters, Madison, Jenna, and Kate... Majoring in child development and family science...Married former Bison track athlete James Schanandore in the summer of 2010.
