Posted 14-5 record for Minnesota in open tournaments ... Recorded five pins and one major decision ... Went 4-2 to place fifth at the Bison Open ... Finished with a 4-1 record at the Finn Grinaker Cobber Open ... Took first at the MSU Moorhead Dragon Open including 2-1 sudden victory in the finals against Jake Horn of St. Cloud State.

Minnesota Class AAA state champion at 160 pounds in 2010 for Apple Valley High School and coaches Jim Jackson and Bill Demaray ... Posted 36-2 record as a senior and placed second in 160 pound division at 2011 Class AAA state tournament ... Ranked No. 4 in weight class nationally by WIN Magazine ... Had 48-2 record during state chamionship junior season ... Finished prep career with record of 243-28 and made six trips to state tournament during  ... Wrestled for Thief River Falls/Goodridge High School and head coach Kenny Gieser during first four high school seasons ... Back-to-back runner-up finishes at Class AA state tournament, at 140 pounds as a junior and 130 pounds as a sophomore ...
