2016-17 SEASON (Junior): Wrestled at 141 pounds ... Compiled 7-4 record including 0-1 in duals (0-1 Big 12) with one pin and a tech fall ... Placed second at the Bison Open (11-12-16) with a 3-1 record ... Finished fourth in Finn Grinaker Open/Gold Division with a 4-2 record.

2015-16 SEASON (Sophomore): Did not wrestle during the 2015-16 season.

2014-15 SEASON (Freshman): Completed the season with 10-9 record wrestling at 149 and 157 pounds … Record included three pins, a pair of major decisions and tech fall … Runner-up finish in the Finn Grinaker Cobber Open/Gold Division, taking two of three matches … Went 4-2 at 157 pounds to place fifth at the North Country Open (2-7-15) … Took fifth place at the Bison Open (11-8-14), winning four of six matches.

2013-14 SEASON (Redshirt): Redshirt in the Bison program ... Western Wrestling Conference Coaches Honor Roll ... Put together a 6-11 record competing unattached ... Recorded one pin and one tech fall ... Won a pair of matches at the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open (11-3-13) and the Bison Open (11-9-13) ... Placed sixth at the Finn Grinaker Cobber Open (11-16-13).

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner out of Wausau West High School ... Finished runner-up at state in senior and junior years ... Finished with a 35-1 record his senior year and was a member of a state championship team under Troy Fabry ... Helped lead Wausua West to first undefeated dual record in school history ... Combined record of 183-11 as a varsity wrestler .... Finished first place in conference for four consecutive years.

PERSONAL: Son of Roy and Beth Umlauf ... Has two older brothers, Sam and Cal, and an older sister, Jessica ... Sam wrestled at Stanford from 2008-2012 ... College major is physical education and health with a minor in psychology.
