Border States congratulates Paige Vargas, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Vargas, from Mission Viejo, Calif., has a 3.824 GPA in exercise science. She is the third NDSU freshman to be named Summit League tournament MVP after pitching the Bison to their 10th Summit League tournament championship with three straight wins out of the loser's bracket. Vargas threw NDSU's final 21 innings and 319 pitches of the tournament allowing just one run after 19 1/3 straight scoreless innings.
