Jackson Runs to No. 5 on NDSU 200m List, Leads Bison Heptathletes on Day One

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Junior Rose Jackson capped the opening day of the UC Riverside Spring Track Classic with a personal-best effort in the 200m dash to lead the North Dakota State women's heptathletes on the first day of competition.
Jackson (Willmar, Minn.) stands in third place overall with 3,130 points through four of the seven events. She clocked a personal-best time of 24.02 seconds in the 200m dash for Thursday's final event, ranking her fifth-fastest in NDSU history.
Jackson's first-day total of 3,130 points is an improvement of 116 points over her previous high through four events. She opened the day with a personal-best time of 14.90 seconds in the 100m hurdles.
NDSU sophomore Amanda Levin is sixth in the heptathlon standings with 2,816 points, junior Deidre Hahn is seventh with 2,777, and senior Ann Govig is eighth with 2,604 points.
Jackson's personal-best heptathlon total is 5,025 points – recorded as a freshman at the USATF Junior Championships. She had 2,906 points following the first day of that heptathlon.
The UC Riverside Spring Track Classic will continue on Friday and Saturday.
