GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team only entered a limited squad at the UND Indoor Tune-Up on Saturday, but that didn't mean the Bison were short on impressive performances.
Sophomore
Bailee Dierks won the 60m hurdles, clocking 8.82 in the prelims and 8.83 in the final. The 8.82 was the second-fastest time of her career, and just 0.01 off her personal-best.
Senior
Jennie Baragar-Petrash won the mile in a personal-best 4:45.60 – a time that comes in at No. 5 on the NDSU all-time list.
Senior
Amy Herrington topped 20 meters again in the weight throw, taking second place at 65-07.75 (20.01m).
Rebecca Tomann threw a personal-best 62-02.25 (18.95m) to rank 11th in school history.
Unattached Bison senior
Shelby Gunnells won the shot put with a throw of 56-02.50 (17.13m). Redshirt freshman
Michaela Hawkins was the runner-up at 46-00.00 (14.02m).
Junior
Grace Zimmerman took the 400m dash title with a time of 57.70.
Alissa Melvin won the triple jump with a season-best mark of 37-00.50 (11.29m).
Tiana Pfaff took first place in the long jump, winning with a mark of 17-00.75 (5.20m).
The Bison will compete at the Summit League Indoor Championships in Brookings, S.D., on Feb. 27-28.
