WICHITA, Kan. – North Dakota State junior
Akealy Moton extended her own school record in the shot put to highlight the performances of the Bison women's track & field team at Wichita State on Saturday.

Moton threw an outdoor personal-best 57-03.75 (17.47m) to win the shot put, extending her NDSU school record. She moved to No. 2 on the NCAA performance list this season.

Shelby Gunnells recorded an outdoor shot put PR of 56-1 (17.09m), moving up to No. 2 in NDSU history and No. 5 in the NCAA this season. Senior
Maggie Schwarzkopf registered the second-best shot put mark of her career, throwing 51-07.75 (15.74m) to take fourth place in the meet.

Ansley Schug won the 100m hurdles in a personal-best 14.16 and claimed the No. 9 spot on the NDSU all-time list.
Bailee Dierks (14.46) took third in the 100m hurdles, and
Salmata Korgho (14.62) was fourth.

Nell Graham took the 400m dash title in 56.83.
Kendra Kelley took second place in both the 100m dash (12.02) and 200m dash (24.75).

Klara Lyon cleared 12-06.25 (3.82m) to win the pole vault, and
Bailey Cowling cleared 5-05.00 (1.65m) to win the high jump.

The Bison women finished 2-3-4 in the discus, led by
Amanda Anderson at 166-9 (50.82m). Senior
Maddy Nilles was third at 160-7 (48.94m), and redshirt freshman
Michaela Hawkins entered the NDSU all-time Top 10 at No. 6 in her Bison outdoor debut, throwing 158-11 (48.45m).

Tasha Willing also climbed into the NDSU outdoor Top 10 in the shot put, throwing 50-03.25 (15.32m) to rank eighth in school history.

Peyton Frolek opened the outdoor season with an 800m time of 2:13.07, taking second place in the meet.

Grace Emineth posted a strong outdoor debut for NDSU, leaping 19-00.00 (5.79m) in the long jump for third place.
