RALEIGH, N.C. – North Dakota State senior
Amy Phillips opened her 2022 outdoor season with the best hammer throw performance of her career on Saturday at the Raleigh Relays.

Phillips won the hammer with a huge personal-best of 225-5 (68.72m), ranking her second all-time at NDSU in the event. She also stands among the top three in the NCAA this season.

Amanda Anderson also registered a significant hammer throw personal-best of 170-9 (52.06m).

At the Yellow Jacket Spring Open in Spearfish, S.D.,
Katelyn Tschida won the heptathlon with a score of 3,862 points. NDSU's
Cora Andersen took second with 3,713 points.

Alissa Melvin won the triple jump, leaping 39-02.25 (11.94m) for the best outdoor mark of her college career.

Grace Emineth placed second in the long jump with a mark of 19-00.75 (5.81m), and also took third in the triple jump. Melvin jumped a personal-best 17-07.00 (5.36m) for fifth place in the long jump.
