STANFORD, Calif. – The North Dakota State men's track & field team opened a weekend of competition at the Stanford Invitational on Friday, Apr. 1.

Kristoffer Thomsen won the discus, recording the second-best mark of his career at 171-5 (52.26m).
Trevor Otterdahl took second place with a throw of 165-10 (50.55m).

Payton Smith is now the ninth-fastest in NDSU history in the 3000m steeplechase after running a personal-best 9:06.14 at Stanford on Friday.

Trent Davis took fourth in the 110m hurdles (14.26) and ninth in the 400m hurdles (54.45).

NDSU senior
Cody Roder registered an outdoor personal-best of 47.77 to lead the Bison men in the 400m dash, taking seventh place.
Jacob Rodin placed 10th in a personal-best 48.20, and
Adrian Harris was 11th in 48.23.

Dante White took ninth in the long jump, leaping 23-03.25 (7.09m), and also ran 10.77 in the 100m dash for 13th place.

Jake Arason clocked a significant personal-best time of 9:16.21 in the 3000m steeplechase.

Josh Darwin cleared 6-06.75 (2.00m) in the high jump at Stanford.

At the Mike Fanelli Track Classic hosted by San Francisco State, NDSU's
Zach Johnson clocked 14:54.38 in the 5,000m.

The Bison will compete at both meets again on Saturday, as well as the USD Early Bird meet in Vermillion, S.D.
