DES MOINES, Iowa – The North Dakota State women's track & field team earned a pair of runner-up finishes at the Drake Relays on Friday.

Amanda Anderson placed second in the discus with a throw of 185-7 (56.56m).
Alissa Melvin took second in the triple jump with a mark of 41-10.50 (12.76m).

Nell Graham finished sixth in the 400m dash at the Drake Relays in 55.74.
Jodi Lipp finished eighth in the triple jump at a season-best 40-08.25 (12.40m).

Bison freshman
Taylor Leingang placed ninth in the javelin, throwing 134-6 (41.01m). Sophomore
Grace Emineth took 10th in the long jump with a mark of 19-00.75 (5.81m).

Salmata Korgho,
Bonet Henderson, and Christiana Collins now rank ninth in NDSU history for the 4x200m relay, clocking 1:41.54 at Drake. The same Bison quartet also took 13th in the 4x100m relay, running 46.61.

At the Kip Janvrin Open in Indianola, Iowa, senior
Amy Phillips threw 205-0 (62.48m) to win the hammer, and
Maggie Steffen claimed the javelin title at 123-1 (37.52m).

Kaleesa Houston was the runner-up in the 1500m in 4:35.07 for the second-fastest time of her career.

Angel Pratt ran 25.07 to win the 200m dash and took second place in the 100m dash, clocking 12.01.

Grace Brenner (57.72) took fifth in the 400m dash, and freshman
Allie Niska took sixth in the 200m (25.98) and seventh in the 400m (58.42m).

The Bison will conclude competition at the Drake Relays on Saturday.
