The North Dakota State University men's track & field team will attempt to win its 12th consecutive conference outdoor team title at the Summit League Outdoor Championships in Tulsa, Okla., on May 12-14.
Since joining The Summit League prior to the 2008 season, NDSU has won 12 of a possible 13 team championships in men's outdoor track & field. The Bison won the crown in their first shot in 2008, and then again each year from 2010-21 (excluding the canceled meet in 2020).
The Bison men will enter the meet with league leaders in six events – Trevor Otterdahl (shot put, hammer throw), Kaden Pastian (discus), Cody Roder (400m dash), Eric VanErp (decathlon), and the 4x400m relay.
In addition to those current leaders, NDSU also returns three individual league champions from last May in Josh Samyn (1500m), Benji Phillips (javelin), and Brandon Lewis (long jump).
NDSU has four of the league's top five performers in the shot put this season, as well as five of the top seven men in the discus.
