Halder Leads Bison Heptathletes with Personal-Best in Azusa

AZUSA, Calif. – North Dakota State sophomore Paige Halder led a group of four Bison women's track & field athletes competing in the heptathlon at the Bryan Clay Multis on Friday.
 
Halder (Byron, Minn.) finished with 4,842 points for a new personal-best score.
 
All four Bison women recorded personal-best scores in the heptathlon. Yolanda Nabwe (Jamestown, N.D.) scored 4,779 points, Sophia Truscott recorded 4,673, and Rylee Johnson finished with 4,646.
 
On the final day of multi-events competition Friday, Halder topped the NDSU women with 17-09.75 (5.43m) in the long jump and 2:22.58 in the 800m. Nabwe was the top performer in the javelin with a throw of 112-3 (34.23m).
 
Halder's heptathlon score was the highest by a Bison since Nell Graham won the Summit League title in 2024.
