2018 SEASON (SENIOR): Started all 15 games at nose guard for a unit that led the Missouri Valley Football Conference in rushing defense, total defense and scoring defense...Made 31 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.0 sacks...Career-high six tackles with a forced fumble in the season-opener against Cal Poly...Named to the MVFC Honor Roll...Earned the MVFC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award.

2017 SEASON (JUNIOR): Voted to the All-Missouri Valley Football Conference second team...Started all 15 games at nose guard...Totaled 32 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss...Second on the team with eight quarterback hurries...Tied a season-high with five tackles in the homecoming win over Missouri State...Part of a defense that led the MVFC in sacks, rushing defense, total defense, scoring defense and third down conversions allowed.

2016 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Started all 14 games at nose guard...Made 30 stops including 4.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks...Season-high five tackles with including a strip sack inside the NDSU 10 against Illinois State that led to a 92-yard scoring drive...Had a 20-yard fumble return in the win at Missouri State...Named to the MVFC Honor Roll.

2015 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Part of the rotation at defensive tackle in all 15 games...Made 24 tackles on the season...Had one sack in the win over North Dakota and was credited with quarterback hurries in wins over Weber State and South Dakota State...Season-high four tackles in victories over Missouri State and Richmond.

2014 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the Bison program.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2014 from Jefferson High School in Alexandria, Minn...Three-year starter and two-time all-conference performer under coach Mike Empting...All-section honoree in 2013...Team captain and all-academic award winner...Also competed in hockey, track and field, and baseball...All-conference in the shot put...Set school weight lifting records in the power clean and power snatch.

PERSONAL: Earned a bachelor's degree in agribusiness from NDSU in May 2018 with minors in crop and weed science and business administration...Son of Brian and Teresa Steidl of Carlos, Minn.
