2014 SEASON (SENIOR): Played and started in 48 games for the Bison...Selected to the All-Summit League second team and Summit League Academic All-League team...Named to The Summit League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll as a Distinguished Scholar and The Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence...Hit .356 with 58 hits in 163 at bats...Batted in 31 runs with a team-and-Summit League-high 18 doubles with one triple and two home runs...Tied for the career doubles record at NDSU with 58 and holds the career record for sacrifice flies with 11...Went 2-for-4 with four RBI and a double against Western Illinois April 18 and was 3-for-4 with three RBI and a double against South Dakota State May 17...Recorded 17 multi-hit games...Drew 25 walks, second-most on the team...2013 SEASON (JUNIOR): First team All-Summit League second baseman and Academic All-League...NDSU's second leading hitter with a .307 batting average in 39 games...Missed the other 14 games with a broken hand after being hit by a pitch (ruled a foul ball) against Northwestern on March 15...Hit .344 with four home runs and 20 RBIs in the 24 games after his return...Hit a solo homer in his first at-bat April 24 at Minnesota to start an eight-game hitting streak...Went 6-for-9 with five RBIs and four runs scored in a doubleheader sweep at Omaha...Finished third overall in The Summit League in home runs (5) and slugging percentage (.487) and was fourth in RBIs (32) while leading the Bison in all three categories...His .348 batting average in Summit League play led the Bison and ranked sixth in the league...Earned a spot on the Summit League all-tournament team going 5-for-15 and going errorless in 18 defensive chances over four games...Made just six errors in 231 chances for an impressive .974 fielding percentage...Named as a Distinguished Scholar to the Summit League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll and to the Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence...2012 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): All-Summit League second team at second base...Played a school-record 60 games and made every start...Split time between the No. 4 and 5 spots in the batting order...Hit .305 with 15 doubles, a triple, home run and 31 RBIs...Had four-RBI games against Northern Colorado and Bucknell...Only home run came against Bucknell, a three-run shot in the eighth inning that broke open a two-run game in a 16-8 win...Went 15-for-30 on an eight-game hitting streak from March 31 to April 11...Fielded at a .971 clip with only eight errors in 274 chances and 26 double plays...Named to the Summit League Winter/Spring All-Academic Team as a Distinguished Scholar and to the Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence...2011 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Started 48 of 49 games played, including 39 at second base and nine as the DH...Third on the team with a .308 batting average, second with 70 total bases, and first in RBIs with 35...Hit by pitches a team-high nine times...Went on a nine-game hitting streak in May highlighted by a 3-for-4 game with two doubles and six RBIs against North Dakota...Had five RBIs in the third game at Oakland, including a three-run double that gave the Bison a 7-3 lead...Hit home runs at Murray State and South Dakota State...Named to the Summit League Winter/Spring All-Academic Team...2010 SEASON (HARDSHIP): Starting second baseman and No. 5 hitter in the first eight games before a suffering a season-ending shoulder injury diving for a ball against Central Michigan on March 13 in the first game of the Florida spring break trip...NDSU's hottest hitter to start the year going 7-for-16 in the first four games with four doubles and nine RBIs, but was 1-for-13 over his last four games...Named to the Summit League Winter/Spring All-Academic Team...HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2009 from Andover High School...Four-year starting shortstop for coach Don Gawreluk...Hit .584 with nine doubles, three triples, three homers and 19 RBIs his senior year...Went 6-1 with a 3.38 ERA on the mound...Three-time all-conference...All-section, all-state, and academic all-state his senior year...Lions All-Star Game participant...Two-time all-conference starting quarterback in football...Led Andover to a section championship and its first Class 5A state playoff appearance in 2007...PERSONAL: Son of Jeff and Debra Satzinger of Andover, Minn...Father was an eighth-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1983 and played for the Pirates, Twins and Braves organizations before reaching Triple-A with the Rangers in 1990...Family includes a younger brother, Wade...Majoring in health and physical education...President of the NDSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
