Returning starter and four-year letteman for the Bison on a talented defensive line...Big, strong, athletic player who has good speed...2003 SEASON (JUNIOR): Started all 11 games for the Herd, making 33 tackles with 20 being solo...Recorded four sacks and intercepted one pass...Had a career-high five tackles against Tusculum, North Dakota and St. Cloud State...2002 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Lettered in a backup role for the Bison at the outside linebacking position...Started two games, against South Dakota and North Dakota...Recorded 16 tackles, broke up two passes, and recovered a fumble...Made four tackles against South Dakota State...His recovered fumble came in the loss at Nebraska-Omaha but set up a fourth-quarter touchdown that cut the UNO lead to 40-35...2001 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Lettered in a reserve role for the Bison at linebacker, charting five tackles and breaking up one pass...Had a career high of four tackles in the win over South Dakota and added a tackle in the season finale at St. Cloud State...2000 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the Bison program...HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Pipestone-Jasper High School where he was a first team all-conference selection and an honorable mention all-state pick as a senior...Team captain and team MVP...Played both offensive tackle and middle linebacker and handled kicking chores...Logged 115 tackles including 79 solo stops, three QB sacks and 15 tackles for losses...Also competed in track & field and basketball...Threw both the shot and discus and was all-conference in the discus...All-conference on the basketball court as a junior...PERSONAL: Majoring in business administration...Enjoys all sports and fishing in his spare moments...Family includes one older sister and one younger brother...Son of Tom Snell and Luann Weise, both of Pipestone.
