2011-12 SEASON (Redshirt)

Redshirted ... posted a 7-5 unattached record with 2 pins ... went 3-1 for a fifth-place finish at the Finn Grinaker Cobber Open on Nov. 19 ... competed at the FILA Junior Nationals in Madison, Wis., in April and took fifth place in the Greco-Roman 96 kg weight class for All-America honors.

HIGH SCHOOL

Four-year letterwinner out of Vacaville High School...Team captain as a senior...Won conference titles at 171 pounds as a junior and senior...Won the regional title at 171 pounds as a junior and finished second as a senior...Finished eighth at the California state championships in his senior season...Named league MVP and team MVP as a senior...Won the high school folkstyle title at 189 pounds at the Reno Tournament of Champions in 2010...Also a three-time all-league selection in football...Named league lineman of the year in 2010.
