NDSU Women’s Track & Field Travels to Iowa for Drake Relays this Weekend

Kip Janvrin Open Meet Information
The North Dakota State University women's track & field team will travel to Des Moines, Iowa, this weekend to compete in the Drake Relays on Friday and Saturday.
The Drake Relays will feature some of the nation's top track & field competition this weekend, as well as providing the Bison an opportunity to run relay events such as the 4x200m, 4x800m, 1600m medley, distance medley and the shuttle hurdle relay.
A group of Bison athletes will also compete at the Kip Janvrin Open hosted by Simpson College in nearby Indianola, Iowa, on Friday.
Erin Teschuk, currently ranked second in the NCAA in the steeplechase and 15th in the 1500m, is scheduled to race the 1500m for the second time this outdoor season on Saturday afternoon at Drake. Maddie Van Beek will take another shot at the steeplechase on Saturday morning after running the No. 25 time in the NCAA last weekend at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Bison competing in the field events at the Drake Relays will include: Lexy Boschee (high jump), Anna Benke (pole vault), Katelyn Weimerskirch (discus, hammer throw), Courtney Pasiowitz (hammer throw, shot put), Emily Lesser (hammer throw, shot put), Amber Riopelle (javelin), Alyssa Olin (javelin) and Sierra Rosenau (javelin).
The Bison women lead The Summit League in 12 of 21 events for the outdoor season. They are ranked fourth in the Midwest Region in the latest USTFCCCA rankings.
NDSU will return home to host the Lyle Hokanson Classic on May 1.
