The North Dakota State women's track & field team will host the Thundering Herd Classic in Fargo this Saturday, as well as sending 13 athletes to compete at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa.
The Thundering Herd Classic will be held at the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track & Field Facility on the NDSU campus on Saturday, Feb. 13. The men's weight throw will open the action at 10 a.m., with running events scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. with the 3000m.

The Bison women will also send 13 athletes to the Iowa State Classic, with competition starting on Friday, Feb. 12, and ending on Saturday. The NDSU women scheduled to compete at Iowa State include: Morgan Milbrath (200m, 4x4), Deidre Hahn (200m, 400m), Alexis Woods (200m, 4x4), Melissa Kitching (200m, 4x4), Amy Andrushko (800m), Jenny Guibert (800m), Darian Winslow (mile), Kayla Huhnerkoch (mile), Taylor Janssen (3000m), Brittany Brownotter (3000m), Emma Kusch Dahle (5000m), Dakota Wood (60m hurdles) and Rose Jackson (60m hurdles, 4x4).
The 60m hurdles, 200m, 3000m and 5000m will run on Friday at Iowa State.
The Bison women are ranked fifth in the Midwest region and 32nd in the NCAA in the latest rankings by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
NDSU currently has nine marks that rank among the top 40 in the nation this season, led by Teschuk at No. 2 in the country in the mile and No. 6 nationally in the 5,000m. The distance medley relay team of Janssen, Milbrath, Andrushko and Erin Teschuk stands at No. 7 on the NCAA list.
The Bison women have captured a record eight straight Summit League indoor team titles.
