Bison Women’s Track & Field Travels to Nebraska’s Husker Spring Invite Saturday

The North Dakota State women's track & field team will travel to the Husker Spring Invite in Lincoln, Neb., on Saturday for a five-team meet featuring the Bison, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, South Dakota State and host Nebraska.
The meet is scheduled to begin with the women's hammer throw at 9 a.m. Running events will start with the 4x100m relay at 2:05 p.m.
The NDSU women are currently ranked second in the Midwest Region by the USTFCCCA. Nebraska is No. 7, South Dakota is No. 10, and South Dakota State is No. 15 in the Midwest.
The Bison have 14 performances that rank among the top 50 in the nation this season. Senior Erin Teschuk leads the way at No. 2 in the 1500m, and Rose Jackson (heptathlon, 15th), Sierra Rosenau (javelin, 16th), Katelyn Weimerskirch (hammer throw, 18th) and the 4x400m relay (20th) are all also in the NCAA top 20.
NDSU leads The Summit League in 11 out of 20 events early this season, including all four throwing events.
