2009-10 SEASON
Indoor (Sophomore): Multi-event athlete...Cracked the NDSU all-time top 10 in the 60 hurdles with a time of 7.98 at the Bison Open...Won the heptathlon at the Bison Open with 5,496 points, which ranks second all-time...Finished second in the heptathlon with 5,088 points at the Summit League Championships...Also placed third in the 60 hurdles (8.07), fifth in the high jump (6-6 ¼) and eighth in the long jump (22-5 ¾) at the league championships.
Outdoor (Sophomore): Competed in the decathlon in three meets...Won the Summit League title in the decathlon with 6,807 points...Finished fifth at the Mt. SAC Decathlon with 7,290 points, ranking fourth all-time...Time of 14.21 in the 110 hurdles at the Mt. SAC Decathlon is third all-time...Placed seventh in the 110 hurdles (15.13) and eighth in the high jump (6-4 ¾) at the league championships.

2008-09 SEASON
Indoor (Freshman): Won the Summit League title in the 60 meter hurdles ...Finished eighth in the event at the Iowa State Classice in 8.05, which is ranked sixth all-time at NDSU...Tallied a score of 5,218 in the heptathlon at the Bison Open, which is second all-time at NDSU...Finished third in the heptathlon and seventh in the high jump at the league championships.
Outdoor (Freshman): Captured the 110 meter hurdles title at the Summit League Championships in 14.24...Mark is third all-time at NDSU...Advanced to the NCAA Midwest Regional in the 110 hurdles where he finished 16th...Tallied 6,934 points in the decathlon at the Team NoDak competition, which is sixth all-time at NDSU...Finished second in the decathlon, seventh in the high jump and 11th in the 400 hurdles at the league championships.

2007-08 SEASON: Redshirt...Competed in the IAAF World Junior Championships in the decathlon where he finished 10th out of 19 competitors.

HIGH SCHOOL: An extremely decorated high school athlete, Leutz won eight state titles competing for Bismarck Century High School... Holds the state record in the 110 meter hurdles of 13.91 seconds... Selected the North Dakota High School Gatorade Athlete of the Year in 2007... Twice competed in the U.S. Junior National Championships in the decathlon, which includes athletes under 19 years of age including the collegiate level... He placed 14th in 2005 and eighth in 2006... School record holder in the 100, 200, 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles.

PERSONAL: Son of Thomas and Lori Leutz... His father, Tom, is a member of the NDSU Hall of Fame for track and field... Has one younger brother, Dylan... Majoring in university studies with a minor in computer science.
