2009-10 SEASON

Indoor (Junior): Competed in the weight throw at six meets...Placed in the top eight in five of the six meets...Notched a personal best throw of 55-5 ½ at the Summit League Championships to finish fifth...Mark is ranked seventh all-time at NDSU.

Outdoor (Junior): Competed in the discus and the hammer...Won the discus at the Bison Open, Cobber Twilight and Howard Wood Dakota Relays...Tallied a personal best mark of 161-8 in the first place discus finish at the Dakota Relays...Threw the hammer 177-11 at the Cobber Twilight...Mark is sixth all-time...Placed third in the discus (157-3) and fourth in the hammer (174-10) at the Summit League Championships.

2008-09 SEASON

Indoor (Sophomore): Competed in the weight throw in seven meets...Reached a personal best mark of 53-5 ¾ at the Bison Open...Mark is ranked ninth all time at NDSU...Finished eighth in the weight throw at the Summit League Championships.

Outdoor (Sophomore): Specialized in the discus and hammer...Won the discus at the Cobber Twilight with a personal best mark of 161-10...Mark is ranked eighth all-time at NDSU...Finished fourth in the discus at the Summit League Championships...Made a career best throw of 166-9 in the hammer at the league championships, finishing fourth...Throw is eighth on the NDSU all-time performance list.

2007-08 SEASON

Indoor (Freshman): Finished fourth in the weight throw and set a personal best of 48-3 at the Cobber Open...Also finished fourth in the weight throw at the Cobber Duals.

Outdoor (Freshman): Set a personal best of 148-0 in the hammer throw at the Hurricane Invitational...Won the discus at the Bison Open with a personal best of 152-0...Finished 10th in the hammer and eighth in the discus at the Summit League Championships.

2006-07 SEASON: Redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Discus thrower from Washington High School in Sioux Falls, S.D... Placed third at the state championships with a 148-11 toss... Finished in sixth place with a 146-7 as a sophomore... Holds a career prep best of 161-2 in the event, seventh on the school’s all-time leaderboard... Played on the defensive side of the ball for three seasons on the football team, including an undefeated squad during his sophomore campaign.

PERSONAL: Son of Jerry and Deb Soholt... Family includes one older brother, Josh, and one younger sister, Molly... Father played football at Mayville State... Majoring in business administration...Currently working on his MBA.
