Had a 9-12 overall record and went 0-3 in dual competition with six pins ... went 4-2 at the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open Nov. 4 to finish fifth wrestling unattached ... placed sixth at the Bison Open Nov. 10, going 2-3 ... posted a sixth place finish in the Gold Division of the Finn Grinaker Cobber Open Nov. 17, finishing 2-2. 

2011-12 SEASON (Redshirt Freshman)
Wrestled at 197 pounds, going 13-26 overall and 1-14 in dual meets ... registered three pins on the season ... opened the season by going 3-2 at the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open for a fourth-place finish ... went 4-2 at the Bison Open on Nov. 12 for fifth place ... went 3-2 at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on Dec. 2-3, including a win by fall in 1:13 against No. 19-ranked Ryan Smith of Cal Poly ... defeated Tommy Burriel of Arizona State 5-4 in a 23-19 Bison victory at the Virginia Duals on Jan. 14 ... went 0-2 at 197 pounds at the NCAA West Regional on Mar. 4 ... Western Wrestling Conference Coaches' Honor Roll.

2010-11 SEASON (Redshirt)
Posted a record of 14-11 competing in seven open tournaments at 184 pounds...Finished third at the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open...Placed second at the Husky Open, falling in the title bout to MSUM's Aaron Norgren, 2-0...Finished third at the Ridgewater Open at 197 pounds...Closed out the season with a seventh place finish at the North Country Open.

HIGH SCHOOL
Six-year letterwinner at Sauk Centre High School...Compiled a high school record of 104-55...Placed third at the Minnesota state championships in 2009 and 2010...Holds school record for most pins in a season...Member of Team Minnesota at the USA Wrestling Junior and Cadet National Championships.

Son of Kevin and Mary Gusewelle...Has one older sister, Ann, who swam at Minnesota State Moorhead...Planning to major in mechanical engineering.
