2014 SEASON (SENIOR): Played in 46 games including 39 starts...Hit .284 with 10 doubles and 25 RBIs...Had a season-high three RBIs at Fort Wayne May 2...Recorded nine mult-hit games...Went 3-for-3 at Fort Wayne May 3...Compiled an on base percentage of .335 with a slugging percentage of .355...2013 SEASON (JUNIOR): Played 34 games including 21 starts as DH and six in right field...Hit .275 with seven doubles, two homers and 20 RBIs...Hit a team-best .387 in two-out situations including 12 RBIs...Homered in a 3-2 win at South Dakota State in the Summit League opener...Went 2-for-3 off the bench in a 7-6 win over Winnipeg including a two-run single in the sixth to make it a 7-4 game...Named to the Summit League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll...2012 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Played in 17 games and made six starts as designated hitter...Hit .167 with four hits in 24 at-bats and drove in six runs...Had a pinch-hit, two-run double to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth against Mayville State...2011 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Appeared in six games off the bench...Went 1-for-2 with five walks in seven total plate appearances...Had a ninth inning pinch-hit single and a run scored in a win over Butler...Drew a one-out walk and scored to spark a five-run ninth inning rally in a midweek loss to South Dakota State...JUNIOR COLLEGE: Spent the 2010 season at the College of Southern Idaho but did not play...HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2009 from Lakeville North High School...Four-year starter...Hit .349 with five home runs and 22 RBIs his senior year...Named to the all-conference and all-state teams...Part of two Lake Conference championship teams in 2008 and 2009...Also a two-year letterwinner in hockey...PERSONAL: Son of Bob and Tammy Altavilla of Lakeville, Minn...Family includes two brothers, Tony and Angelo...Tony played baseball at Illinois-Chicago and was with the St. Paul Saints of the independent American Association in 2009...Majoring in management communication with a minor in sociology.
