2017 SEASON (SENIOR): All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honorable mention...Frequently occupied double-teams for a defensive that led the MVFC in sacks, rushing defense, total defense, scoring defense, and third down conversions allowed...Team captain for the second straight season...Started all 15 games at defensive tackle...Totaled 18 tackles including 3.5 tackles for loss...Had four pass breakups and made his only career interception in the national championship win over James Madison...Finished his career with 132 tackles, 18.0 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks, seven pass breakups and two forced fumbles while starting all 55 games played.

2016 SEASON (JUNIOR): Voted to the All-Missouri Valley Football Conference second team...Started the first nine games but suffered a season-ending knee injury against Youngstown State...Made 31 total tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss...Season-high nine tackles including eight solo stops at Western Illinois, where he also blocked a field goal...Leader in the trenches for the top-ranked rushing defense in the MVFC, which allowed just 106 yards per game.

2015 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honorable mention...Started all 15 games at defensive tackle...Logged 45 tackles including 5.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks...Credited with four quarterback hurries and one pass breakup...Made a career-high 12 tackles in the season-opener at Montana...Key part of a defense that held six opponents under 100 yards rushing and ranked third in the FCS in total defense (271.5 ypg).

2014 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Started all 16 games at defensive tackle...Totaled 38 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks and two quarterback hurries...Had a strip sack at Missouri State, one of four games he collected a season-high four tackles...Credited with four solo stops at South Dakota.

2013 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the entire season as a redshirt in the Bison program.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: All-state, all-region and all-conference defensive lineman for Mukwonago High School and head coach Clay Iverson...Selected the Classic 8 Conference Defensive Player of the Year after racking up 85 tackles including a school record 22 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks...Led Mukwonago to second place conference finish and state playoff appearance...Ranked fifth among defensive lineman by WHS Sports...Three-year starter...Played defensive end, tight end and long snapper...Honorable mention all-state player on the basketball court, earning all-area and all-conference honors...Two-year track and field letterwinner in the shot put.
 
PERSONAL: Graduated from NDSU in December 2017 with a bachelor's degree in university studies...Son of Brian and Dolly Tanguay...Has two brothers, Josh and Nick.
