2009 SEASON (JUNIOR): Played in 41 of 44 games...Made 40 starts including 25 in left field and 32 as the leadoff hitter...Sixth on the team with a .292 batting average but was second on the team with a .440 on-base percentage...Hit by pitches 23 times, the second most in school history...Ranked sixth in the final NCAA Division I statistics for HBPs (23) and was second in HBPs per game (0.56)...Had a team-best 16-game hitting streak starting March 7 and ending April 11 when he went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored in the first game of a doubleheader at Oakland...Reached base in 27 straight games until going 0-for-3 in the second game of the Oral Roberts doubleheader...Went 11-for-19 over a five-game stretch of the spring break trip in Florida to raise his batting average to .435...Singled, doubled and tripled against Long Island...Had four 3-hit games during the year...Season-high three RBIs against IPFW on the final day of the year...Team-high .432 average with runners in scoring position...Named to the Summit League Winter/Spring All-Academic Team and Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence...2008 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Earned a spot in the starting lineup for the final 14 games with his hustle...The Bison went 6-8 in that span...Went 3-for-4 and scored three runs while batting leadoff in the 9-4 home win over Minnesota...Homered in the first game of the South Dakota State doubleheader...Hit 8-for-58 in 21 games overall...JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played the 2007 season at GateWay Community College in Phoenix, Ariz...Hit .222 with eight hits in 36 at-bats...HIGH SCHOOL: Played one year for coach Gene Severson at Bismarck Century High School before transferring to Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Ariz., for two years where he was a pitcher, catcher and infielder...Hit .311 with four homers and 12 stolen bases his senior year for coach Ryan Dyer...Selected to the Arizona Class 4A all-star game...Played American Legion baseball for the Bismarck Governors in 2005 and 2006...Hit over .350 both seasons with 25 doubles and five homers in his two-year career...PERSONAL: Son of Tim Sr. and Jeanette Jallen of Bismarck...Family includes an older sister, Stephanie...Majoring in zoology.
