Two-time FCS All-American and three-time All-Missouri Valley Football Conference performer who graduated as the NDSU and MVFC career leader with a 44.55 punting average that ranked fourth in FCS history...Also the NDSU career leader in punting yards (10,158) and attempts (228)...Had 14 punts of 60-plus yards including four 70-plus with a career long of 75 yards...Four-year punter for a Bison program that won five straight NCAA national championships and MVFC titles...Also handled NDSU's kickoff duties for three seasons and was the holder on PATs and field goals.

2015 SEASON (SENIOR): All-America first team pick by STATS and the FCS Athletic Directors Association...Second team AP All-American...College Sporting News "Fab 50" All-American and Special Teams Player of the Year...All-Missouri Valley Football Conference first team...Ranked second in FCS with a 45.85 punting average that was second-best in MVFC single-season history and third in the NDSU record book...Landed 29 of 62 punts inside the 20...Blasted 23 of 62 punts for 50-plus yards including a long of 73...Starred in the NCAA quarterfinal win over Northern Iowa averaging 45.0 yards on six punts with five inside the 20 and a long of 62 yards to boost the Bison defense in a 23-13 victory...NDSU ranked fourth in the FCS with a 39.27 net punting average...Averaged 62.7 yards on kickoffs with 42 of 96 going for touchbacks...Named to the MVFC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award list and MVFC Honor Roll.

2014 SEASON (JUNIOR): Sports Network All-America second team and All-Missouri Valley Football Conference first team...Ranked second in the FCS with an average of 45.27 yards per punt, good for fourth in single-season NDSU and MVFC history...Punted 59 times with 10 touchbacks, 14 fair catches and 23 punts inside the 20...Twenty punts of 50 or more yards including a long of 66 yards against South Dakota State...Career-high 10 punts with average of 48.1 in the team's only loss at Northern Iowa...CFPA Punter of the Week after punts of 63 and 66 yards in the Nov. 1 home win over South Dakota State...NDSU led the conference and ranked ninth nationally with a net punting average of 38.37...Also handled majority of NDSU's kickoffs...Averaged 62.1 yards on 72 attempts with 31 touchbacks...Named to the MVFC Honor Roll.
 
2013 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): All-Missouri Valley Football Conference second team punter…Ranked second in the league averaging 43.65 yards per punt, the fourth best season in school history…Twelve punts of 50-plus yards…Sports Network and MVFC Special Teams Player of the Week after longs of 75 and 74 yards in back-to-back punts at South Dakota State…Landed 25 of 52 punts inside the 20-yard line, had 10 touchbacks and 14 fair catches…NDSU ranked fifth nationally in net punting with a 39.40 average and opponent average starting position was the 17-yard line…Opponents returned only eight punts all year for an average of 2.6 yards…Season-high seven punts against South Dakota State and Northern Iowa…Had four punts inside the 20 against UNI in a 24-23 come-from-behind win…Averaged 50.5 yards on four punts in the national championship win over Towson…Named to the MVFC Honor Roll.
 
2012 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Newcomer Team and College Sport Journal FCS All-Freshmen Team…Punted 55 times for an average of 43.16 yards per attempt to rank 12th in NCAA FCS...Placed 18 punts inside the 20 with 11 fair catches and seven touchbacks...Had 11 punts that went 50+ yards including a season-long 65-yarder vs. Southern Illinois...NDSU ranked 13th in net punting with a 38.2 average...Had four punts for 220 yards in the 23-20 FCS semifinal win over Georgia Southern, averaging 55.0 yards per attempt...That effort included three punts inside the 20 and three of 50+ yards...Handled 60 percent of the kickoffs for NDSU...Averaged 60.8 yards on 56 attempts including 12 touchbacks.
 
2011 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as redshirt in Bison program.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: 2011 graduate of Barrington High School...Daily Herald All-Area selection under head coach Joe Sanchez...First-team all-Mid-Suburban West pick...Barrington advanced to the 8A playoffs and finished 7-2...Handled the punting and kicking duties, along with playing cornerback and wide receiver...Went 5-for-7 on field goals (long 43 yards) and punted for a 36-yard average...Touchbacks on 45 of his 55 kickoffs (81 percent)...Set single-game school average records for punting (51.0) and kickoffs (56.9) and interceptions (3)...Earned Illinois high school Defensive Player of the Week honors during week three after recording three interceptions, a fumble recovery and five tackles...Pitcher and center fielder on Barrington’s 2010 state baseball playoff team...Also played basketball.
 
PERSONAL: Signed a three-year contract with the Chicago Bears in May 2016 as a rookie free agent following a mini-camp workout invitation...Graduated from NDSU in December 2015 with a bachelor's degree in sport management and a minor in business administration…Member of the NDSU student-athlete advisory council...Son of Benjamin III and Cathleen LeCompte...Both parents are cancer survivors...Has a twin brother, Bart, and three sisters, Ashlee, Nichole and Michelle.
