2015 SEASON (SENIOR): Started all 15 games on the defensive line...Totaled 33 tackles...Second on the team with 10.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and eight quarterback hurries...Scored a safety late in the fourth quarter to clinch a 23-13 NCAA quarterfinal win over Northern Iowa...Season-high four tackles in five different games...Had 10 tackles, three sacks and five QB hurries in four NCAA playoff games as the Bison defense held all four opponents to season-low total yardage and an average of just 217 yards per game...Named to the MVFC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award list and MVFC Honor Roll.

2014 SEASON (JUNIOR): Started all 16 games on the defensive line...Made 51 tackles on the season, including 20 during the four-game FCS playoff run...Totaled 7.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks with five quarterback hurries...Career-high eight tackles in the NCAA quarterfinal win over Coastal Carolina...Recovered a fumble at Northern Iowa...NDSU ranked fifth nationally in total defense (280.4) and third in scoring defense (14.1)...MVFC Honor Roll and Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award.
 
2013 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Played in all 15 games including one start at South Dakota State in place of injured nose guard Ryan Drevlow…Part of a defensive effort that held SDSU to minus-32 yards and zero first downs rushing in a 20-0 shutout…Logged 18 tackles on the season including 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack…Credited with four quarterback hurries…Season-high three tackles twice against Delaware State and New Hampshire…NDSU boasted the nation’s No. 1 scoring defense (11.3 ppg) and third down defense (26%)…The Bison ranked third in rushing defense (91.3), total defense (255.9) and red zone defense (67%)…Named to the MVFC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award list and MVFC Honor Roll.
 
2012 SEASON (FRESHMAN): College Sports Journal FCS All-Freshmen Team...Played in 13 games including four starts at nose guard late in the season...Credited with 21 tackles including eight solos, a pair of QB hurries, one tackle for loss...Added one forced fumble and a fumble recovery...Recorded a season-high six tackles against Wofford (12-8-12) in NCAA quarterfinal...Followed up with five tackles including a pair of solos vs. Georgia Southern (12-14-12) in NCAA semifinal.
 
2011 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the Bison program...Named to the MVFC Honor Roll.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: 2011 graduate of Denmark High School…Played in the Wisconsin all-star game.
 
PERSONAL: Graduated from NDSU in December 2015 with a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics and a minor in crop and weed sciences…Son of Paul and Clarice Schaetz...Grew up on a dairy farm.
