FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State senior
Trevor Otterdahl took first place in the weight throw and shot put to headline the efforts of the Bison men's track & field team on Saturday at the Bison Team Cup.

Otterdahl hit 71-6 (21.79m) to win the weight throw, ranking fifth in the NCAA this season. He is one of only three men in school history to top 70 feet in the event. Otterdahl also won the shot put, nearly throwing an indoor personal-best at 60-01.75 (18.33m).

NDSU's
Kristoffer Thomsen was second,
Clayton Hannula was third, and
Levi Rockey was fourth as the Bison swept the top four places in the shot put.

Jacob Rodin won the 400m dash in 48.71, and NDSU swept the top four places with
Josh Knutson second,
Jacob Levin third, and
Cody Roder fourth. Because it was run on a 200m flat track, Rodin's time converts down to 47.95, and he now ranks among the Top 30 in the NCAA this year.

Trent Davis won the 60m hurdles in a personal-best 8.03 seconds, moving up to seventh all-time at NDSU. A trio of Bison freshman finished 2-3-4, with
Brock Johnsen (8.17),
Robert Douglas (8.33) and
Logan Mathieu (8.34).

Sophomore
Dante White won the 60m dash in a personal-best time of 6.87 seconds. He's now tied for eighth-fastest in NDSU history.

Hunter Merkley jumped an indoor personal-best 22-09.25 (6.94m) to take first place in the long jump. Bison freshman
Braden Brown (Bismarck Century HS) won the high jump, clearing 6-08.25 (2.04m).
