2011-12 SEASON

INDOOR (Junior): Summit League champion in the weight throw with a school-record throw of 62-01.75 (18.94m) ... took fourth in the shot put at the Summit Championships ... broke the NDSU school record in the weight throw twice on the season, the first time coming at the Husker Invitational on Feb. 4 ... No. 5 all-time at NDSU in the indoor shot put with his throw of 53-10.50 (16.42m) at the Bison Open on Feb. 11 ... topped 60 feet in the weight throw at four meets.

OUTDOOR (Junior): Summit League champion and NCAA West Preliminary Rounds qualifier in the hammer throw ... broke the hammer throw school record with a mark of 197-07 (60.22m) at the NDSU-UND Dual on May 4 ... sixth in the shot put at the Summit League Outdoor Championships, throwing 52-09.25 (16.08m) to rank No. 7 all-time at NDSU in the event ... finished 17th in the hammer throw at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds.

2010-11 SEASON
Indoor (Sophomore): Competed in the shot put and weight throw...Had his best meet of the season at the Summit League Championships...Finished second in the weight throw with a personal best mark of 59-3 ¼, which ranks third in school history...Also placed fifth in the shot put with a toss of 51-5 ¾...Mark is ninth all-time at NDSU.
Outdoor (Sophomore): Competed primarily in the shot put and hammer, but also in the discus...Set a school record of 193-6 in the hammer en route to winning the Summit League title...Tallied a personal best mark of 50-10 ¼ in the shot in a first place finish at the NDSU-UND Dual...Finish ninth in the shot at the league championships with a mark of 46-8 ¾...Also place12th in the discus with a mark of 139-3...Competed in the NCAA West Preliminary Round in the hammer and finished 44th with a mark of 171-9.

2009-10 SEASON
Indoor (Freshman): Competed in the weight throw and shot put...Notched a personal best throw of 56-1 in the weight throw at the Snowshoe Open, ranking sixth all-time...Placed eighth in the shot put with a personal best throw of 47-11 and ninth in the weight throw with a mark of 52-10 ¼ at the Summit League Championships.
Outdoor (Freshman): Competed in the throws, primarily in the shot put and hammer...Notched a personal best throw of 183-9 in the hammer at the Cobber Twilight...Mark ranks fourth all-time at NDSU...Placed seventh in the shot put at the Summit League Championships with a personal best mark of 49-7...Also finished fifth in the hammer at the league championships with a mark of 173-9.

2008-09 SEASON

Outdoor: Redshirt

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner in track and field at Bemidji High School...Has a personal best in the shot put of 52-0 and a personal best in the discus of 149-11...Played running back and free safety for the football team...Sidelined as a senior with a broken leg...Also a four-year academic letterwinner.

PERSONAL: Son of Robert Orgon and Mary Wellner...Has one younger sister, Caitlin...Grandfather and two uncles graduated from NDSU...Majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in coatings and polymeric materials.
