Solid hitter with a sharp eye who can give the Bison lineup a boost from the left side...Has good speed...Battling an arm injury and may be slowed early in the season...Hit well in last year’s playoffs...2004 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Made four starts while playing in only 11 games, but started twice during the championship run through the North Central Conference tournament...Went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs against Minnesota-Crookston in the regular season...Also had a 2-for-3 outing with three RBIs against North Dakota in the NCC tournament...Hit .353 for the year...HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2002 from Aberdeen Central High School, where he was a two-year starter in center field for the American Legion baseball program during the summer...Hit .325 with nine doubles, five triples and 25 RBIs in 45 games as a junior and hit .354 with 14 doubles, five triples, three home runs and 51 RBIs in 61 games as a senior...Stole 19 bases and drew 45 walks in those two seasons...Team captain both his junior and senior seasons...Set a school mark by being hit 23 times his senior year...Competed in football and hockey...Three-year starter in hockey where he was a two-time team captain and third in the state in points scored...PERSONAL: Majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry...Worked on a cement crew over the summer...Enjoys hunting, fishing and hanging out with friends in his spare time...Family includes two sisters, Jamie and Kim...Son of Jim and Joan Freudenthal of Aberdeen, S.D.
