One of the aces of the Bison pitching staff...Has a combined 14-9 record over his first three seasons in 26 starts and 35 appearances...Has the ability to spot his pitches...Demonstrated ability to go deep into games on a consistent basis with seven of his 12 starts last season going into the sixth inning and four getting the Bison to the seventh...Ranks in the school’s Top 10 in starts and wins and is approaching the leaders in career strikeouts and innings...2004 SEASON (JUNIOR): Compiled a 5-3 record with a 5.02 ERA, striking out 41 and walking 31 in 61 innings of work...Lost his first two starts before fanning seven in a win over Ashland...Also had seven K’s in a shutout of Augustana and went 7 1/3 innings in the NCC tournament semifinal win over host North Dakota...2003 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Made eight starts, appeared in 13 games, and compiled a 4-5 record with a 4.97 ERA...Logged three complete games and was within one out of going the distance in two others...His wins came against Colorado Mines, South Dakota, St. Cloud State and Southwest Minnesota State...Had especially strong performances in wins over USD (6 2/3 innings, 6 hits, 2 runs, 3 K’s) and St. Cloud State (7 innings, 5 hits, 3 runs, 1 earned run, 4 K’s) and lost a tough, complete-game effort in a 3-2 decision against Minnesota State-Mankato (7 innings, 5 hits, 3 runs, 6 K’s)...2002 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Appeared in nine games, made six starts, and posted a 5-1 record as a Bison rookie...Went four innings in his first outing, striking out seven Nebraska-Kearney hitters as the Bison won 12-4...Threw five innings of brilliant one-hit shutout relief in a 6-5 loss to Augustana...His eight strikeouts at UND were a season high...2001 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the Bison program...HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Britton High School where he competed in football, basketball and track...Played shortstop in addition to pitching for his summer team...PERSONAL: Majoring in business...Family includes one younger brother, Kevin...Son of Ron and Karen Tchida of Britton.
