2006-07 Season

Cross Country (Junior): Ran in all seven meets for the Bison... Runner-up at the Division I independent championships, helping NDSU finish second... Finished fifth at the USATF West Regional Championships... Ran a season best 25:15.71 (8k) at the Bison Invitational. Indoor Track & Field (Junior): Ran a personal best 3,000m at the Washington Invitational to finish eighth in 8:19.86... Won the 3,000m at the Dakota Duals... Outdoor Track & Field (Junior): Pulled off an impressive double by placing fifth in the 5,000m and second in the 10,000m to help the Bison win the Division I Independent Championships...Ran a personal best 5,000m at the Oregon Invite of 14:24.82.

2005-06 Season

Cross Country (Sophomore): Missed the first two races of the year... Led the Bison at the Division I independent championships with a third-place finish, completing the 8-kilometer course in a season-best 25:12.40... Indoor Track & Field (Sophomore): Moved into the school's top 10 list in two events... At the University of Washington (1/28), scored an 8:28.79 for No. 5 on the all-time chart... Took one shot at the 5,000, running a 14:36.55 at Iowa State (2/11) for No. 4 all-time at NDSU... Nearly made the list in the mile with a 4:14.56 clocking at Nebraska (2/4)... Outdoor Track & Field (Sophomore): Provided a much needed 10 points for the Bison at the Division I independent championships by capturing the 5,000 crown after scoring points in the 10,000 the day before... Also won the 5,000 at the Texas-Arlington Invitational with a 15:16.03.

2004-05 Season

Cross Country (Freshman): Started all six events for the Bison cross country team... First to cross the line for NDSU at two invites... Finished in 17th place at the Jim Drews Invitational... Placed third individually at the Jackrabbit Open... Helped the team to a runner-up spot at the Division I independent championships with a ninth-place result... Indoor Track & Field (Freshman): Had a third-place finish in the 3,000 at the Minnesota Open with a time of 8:44.26... Lowered his time to 8:35.01 in the 3,000 at the Iowa State Classic... Ran a 4:26.68 mile at the Bison Open for third place... Outdoor Track & Field (Freshman): Ran the 5,000 on three occasions during the outdoor season... Opened with a 14:42.70 at the Stanford Invitational, good for sixth place in his section... Finished sixth in the event at the Simpson Twilight with a 14:57.07.  

2003-04 Season: Redshirt

High School: Four-year track letterwinner at Montevideo High School (Minn.)... Conference winner in the 1,600 and the 3,200 three consecutive years... School record holder in both events (4:24 and 9:27)... State champion in the 3,200 his senior year as well as a cross country title as a sophomore in 2000... Personal: Son of Dale and Lori Liebl... Family includes two younger brothers... Majoring in business administration... Interned with Phoenix International, a John Deere company that works with electronics in off-road vehicles, over the summer.
