2006-2007 Season

Indoor Track & Field: Did not compete. Outdoor Track & Field (Junior): Won the Division-I Independent Championships in the 800 in a personal best time of 1:51.42 as the Bison claimed the team title as well... Also claimed a third-place finish at the Howard Wood Relays in 1:53.16... Placed 9th at UCLA and 8th at the Oregon Invite. 

2005-06 Season

Indoor Track & Field: Did not compete. Outdoor Track & Field (Sophomore): Got on track with a season-opening 1:54.97 in the 800 at the University of Nebraska on April 15... Continued to cut his time with a 1:52.88 at the Howard Wood Relays... Won his first-round heat in the two-lapper at the Division I independent championships, before settling for second with a 1:53.38... Set a huge personal record at the Jim Bush Invitational dropping a 1:51.46 in the 800 while competing in Los Angeles.    

2004-05 Season

Cross Country (Freshman): Ran in five races for the Bison... Opened the season with a 31st-place result at the Iowa State Open... Placed 14th at the Jackrabbit Open... Indoor Track & Field (Freshman): Started the year off with a victory in the 800 at the Minnesota Open after recording a 1:54.87... Dropped down to a 1:52.71 at the Iowa State Classic... Had a runner-up 500 finish at the Bison Open with a 1:06.59... Outdoor Track & Field (Freshman): Focused on the 800 during the outdoor season, dipping down into the 1:52s in several races... Set an outdoor personal record of 1:52.85 at the Division I independent championships in a third-place finish. 

2003-04 Season: Redshirt.

High School: Three-year track & field and cross country letterman at Brainerd (Minn.) High School... Versatile runner who has run events from the 400 to the 3,200... Also high jumped as a senior, clearing 6-0... Personal: Son of Doug and Connie Olson... Family includes two older brothers... Business administration major.
