2007-08 SEASON
Cross Country (Junior): Competed in three races before being sidelined with an injury...Returned to finish 31st at the West Region Club Championships.
Indoor (Junior): Time of 4:10.65 in the mile at the adidas Classic put him in seventh on the all-time performance list...Posted the second-best time in school history in the 800 at Notre Dame (1:51.02)...Finished third in the mile and second in the 800 at the Summit League Championships.
Outdoor (Junior): Came in first in the 800 at the Wake Forest Open and Concordia Open...Time of 1:50.54 in the 800 at the Mt. SAC Relays put him in fifth on the all-time performance charts...Finished fifth in both the 800 and 1500 at the Summit League Championships.
2006-07 SEASON
Cross Country (Sophomore): Ran in five meets for the Bison... Finished in 11th place at the NDSU Cross Country Open in 26:45.68... Finished 27th at the Division I Independent Championships to help the Bison finish second.
Indoor (Sophomore): Claimed individual championships in four different events throughout the indoor season... Won the 800 (1:56.83) at the Bison Open, the 1,000 (2:35.85) and the mile (4:20.32) at the Dakota Duals and won the 3,000 (8:41.77) at the Bison Classic.
Outdoor (Sophomore): Finished second at the Division I Independent Championships in both the 800 (1:51.82) and the 1,500 (3:51.51)... Shattered his own personal record by winning the 800 at the Jim Duncan Invitational in a time of 1:51.18... Ran a personal best in the 1,500 of 3:48.84 at the Oregon Invite which places him third on NDSU-s all-time outdoor list.
2005-06 SEASON
Cross Country (Freshman): Raced in the first and the final competitions of the season... Placed fifth at the Dragon Open with a 26:40.38... In the season finale, finished in 15th place with a 25:55.79 at the Division I independent championships in Corpus Christi, Texas to help the Bison to a third-place team result.
Indoor (Freshman): Generated the school’s No. 9 all-time performance in the 600 with a 1:22.12 at the University of Minnesota’s Jack Johnson Classic... Closed the season with a 1:53.84 in the 800 at Notre Dame’s Alex Wilson Invitational.
Outdoor: Redshirt.
2004-05 SEASON
Cross Country: Redshirt.
Indoor: Redshirt.
Outdoor (Freshman): Ran a 1:53.36 runner-up 800 at the Simpson Twilight... Placed third in the 1,500 at the Division I independent championships in Davis, Calif., with a 3:56.93... Qualified for the USATF Junior Nationals where he finished in sixth place with a 1:52.78 to earn All-America honors.
HIGH SCHOOL: Six-time state individual champion while at Harvey High School... Captured the state crowns in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 as a junior and a senior... Anchored the championship-winning 4x400 relay his senior year that led to the 2004 Class B state team championship...Named Class B Most Outstanding Track Athlete in 2004... Holds school records in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 and 4x400... Five-year letterwinner in track & field and earned four letters in basketball and football... Two-time team MVP in track and basketball, once as a wide receiver on the football squad... Earned all-state honors on the gridiron... Captained all three sports as a senior.
PERSONAL: Son of Willy and Karen Schilling... Family includes two older brothers, Nick and Matt... Majoring in human performance and fitness.
