2005-06 (Freshman): Went 18-9 for the Bison, pinning two opponents...Had runner-up finishes at the Daktronics and Bison Opens...Took fifth at the nationally recognized UNI Open...Won seven of his last eight duals at 197 pounds...Picked up his first career dual victory by pinning Jake Schneider of Portland State...Upset nationally ranked Reece Hopkin of Northern Colorado 6-4 on Feb. 6, 2006...Had dual-clinching victory against Wyoming when he defeated Malcolm Havens 8-3.
2004-05 (Redshirt): Saw extensive action wrestling unattached to a 14-6 record...Captured the 184-pound title of the 20-and-under division at the Kaufman-Brand Open winning five straight matches.
