Participated in the Bison Open at 165 and went 0-2...Named to the Western Wrestling Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for academics.2006-07 (SOPHOMORE): Participated in four tournaments for NDSU, earning a 7-8 record while registering two pins at 157...Finished 3-2 at both the Kaufman-Brand Open and Dragon Open en route to a fifth-place finish.
2005-06 (FRESHMAN): Went 3-10 in five open tournaments...Went 2-2 at the North Country Tournament, recording pins in both of his victories.
High School: Graduated from New Ulm High School in 2005...Head Coach was Darwin Arndt...Went 20-11 his senior year, finishing second in the conference and fourth in sections...All-Journal Team honorable mention selection...Four-year letterwinner in wrestling and two-year letterwinner in baseball...Voted team's most improved wrestler...AAA (Athletics, Academics and Arts) award winner for New Ulm High School.
