2007-08 (JUNIOR): Competed at 165...Finished with a 10-13 overall record and a 4-11 record in duals...Finished fourth at the Bison Open and third at the Dragon Open.
2006-07 (Sophomore): An everyday starter for NDSU at both 157 and 165, posting a season record of 15-15 and 5-9 in duals...Placed fourth at the NCAA West Regional, as well as fourth at the Dragon Open...Went 5-2 at the Bison Open including a technical fall over Brad Malum of Jamestown en route to a fifth place finish.
2005-06 (Freshman): Went 10-11 during the open tournament season...Had a sixth-place finish at the North Country Tournament...Went 3-2 at the Kaufman-Brand Open which included a technical fall over Brandon Stanley of Nebraska-Omaha.
2004-05 (Redshirt): Saw extensive action wrestling unattached going 7-8...Placed sixth at the Daktronics Open going 4-2...Won his first round match at the University National Championships.
High School: Graduated from Northfield High School in 2004...Head coach was Cliff Casteel...Put the exclamation mark on an outstanding career by winning the Class 3A title at 152...Went 42-0 his senior season...All-time wins leader at Northfield, charting a 188-35 record overall...State runner-up his junior campaign with a 39-1 mark...Four-time conference champion and two-time section champ...School record holder for career pins (94)...Team captain and MVP his junior and senior years...Member of the Minnesota Junior Duals Greco-Roman team that won the national championship.
