Talented linebacker that quickly covers a wide radius on the field…Has played in all 45 career games including 39 straight starts entering his senior season...Made the move from the Sam to Will linebacker following productive freshman year capped off with selection as the NCAA championship game Most Outstanding Player.
 
2013 SEASON (JUNIOR): Started all 15 games…Team’s fourth leading tackler with 72 total tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, three pass breakups and one quarterback hurry…Had nine games with at least five tackles…Season-high eight tackles twice in the FCS playoffs against Furman and Towson…NDSU’s second leading tackler in the postseason with 25 stops over four games.
 
2012 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Honorable mention All-Missouri Valley Football Conference…Started all 15 games...Second on the team with 98 tackles including 41 solos, 9.5 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles and three sacks...Added two QB hurries and a pair of pass breakups...Recorded a career-high 15 tackles including career best solos stops in dramatic 23-20 win over Georgia Southern (12-14-12) in NCAA semifinal game...Had back-to-back double-figure tackle games, making 11 stops vs. Wofford (12-8-12) the previous week...Made five tackles including a career-high 2.5 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks in victory at nationally ranked Northern Iowa (9-29-12)...In four NCAA playoff games, credited with 47 tackles including 14 solos and 2.0 tackles for loss...Ranked among conference leaders with four forced fumbles.
 
2011 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Moved into the starting lineup against South Dakota State (10-22-11) and started 9 of 15 games played...Returned his first career interception 63 yards in the fourth quarter of the NCAA title game vs. Sam Houston State (1-7-12) to set up a Bison touchdown...Recorded 76 tackles including 36 solos, four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks...Had forced fumble vs. nationally ranked Northern Iowa (10-29-11) to set up Kyle Emanuel’s defensive TD...Added four pass breakups and three QB hurries...Credited with season-high 10 tackles at South Dakota State.
 
2010 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as redshirt in the Bison program.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time all-state for Langdon/Munich Cardinals and head coach Andy DelaBarre, a former Bison player...First team all-state in 2009, second team in 2008...Played in 2010 Badlands Bowl, the Montana-North Dakota all-star game...Played linebacker, running back, quarterback and safety during career...Led Cardinals to state runner-up finish in 2009...All-state, two-time all-region peformer on baseball diamond...Two-time all-district in basketball...Part of a successful Munich American Legion baseball team.
