Intelligent, hard-nosed performer who moved into the starting lineup halfway through his freshman season...Consistently puts himself in position to make plays...Has started in 34 of 42 games played...Has five double-figure tackle games in his career.
 
2013 SEASON (JUNIOR): Sports Network All-America third team…College Sports Journal All-America…All-Missouri Valley Football Conference first team…Made all 15 starts at strong safety…Second on the team with 85 tackles including a team-high 45 solo stops…Credited with three QB hurries, two pass breakups and one interception, which he took back 35 yards for his first collegiate touchdown at Indiana State…MVFC Defensive Player of the Week after making seven solo tackles in the season-opening win at Kansas State…Season-high nine tackles in the win over Northern Iowa…Blocked a 41-yard field goal attempt in the FCS national championship game…Result was a 5-yard TD on the next play for a 14-7 lead over Towson…Made six tackles in the title victory…Part of the nation’s No. 1 scoring defense (11.3 ppg), No. 3 total defense (255.9 ypg), No. 3 rushing defense (91.3 ypg) and No. 8 passing defense (164.6 ypg).
 
2012 SEASON (HARDSHIP): Had season cut short by knee injury in second game at Colorado State (9-8-12)...Started in two games...Finished with six tackles including a pair of solos.
 
2011 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Fought through injury to contribute...Started in 10 of 11 games played...Named to the all-Missouri Valley Football Conference second team...Finished with 82 tackles including 50 solos and 1.5 sacks...Had two interceptions and a pair of pass breakups...Recorded a career-high 15 tackles including career best nine solos vs. Georgia Southern (12-17-11)...One of three double-figure tackle games...Made first collegiate interception at Minnesota (9-24-11) and his lateral to Marcus Williams led to touchdown at the end of the first half...Second pick came at Indiana State (11-5-11) and also made 11 tackles to earn Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors...Had 12 tackles including career-high nine assists vs. Youngstown State (11-12-11)...Part of nation’s top scoring defense (12.73 ppg) that also ranked 8th in turnover margin (+1.20 avg/g), 16th in pass efficiency defense (110.53 rating), 17th in rushing defense (118.73 avg/g), 19th in sacks (2.67 avg/g) and 20th in total defense (315.93 avg/g).
 
2010 SEASON (FRESHMAN):  Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Newcomer Team...Played in all 14 games including starting last seven...Credited with a season-high 13 tackles at Missouri State (11-20-10) including eight solos...Had 11 tackles vs. South Dakota State (11-13-10)...Notched 2.5 tackles for loss vs. Indiana State (10-23-10)...Part of the Bison defense that ranked 7th nationally in both scoring defense (18.21 ppg) and turnover margin (+1.07 avg.).
 
HIGH SCHOOL: 2010 graduate of Kimberly High School...Associated Press and Wisconsin Football Coaches Association first team all-state safety under head coach Steve Jorgensen...Part of 2007 and 2008 Division 2 state championship football teams, state runner-up in 2009...FUA Defensive Back of the Year and WFCA all-region pick...All-area selection, first-team at safety, second team at running back...Played centerfield and catcher for baseball team, member of basketball team as a freshman...Competed in track & field.
