Indoor (Junior): Placed third in the 60m dash and eighth in the 200m dash at the Summit League Indoor Championships in Fort Wayne ... Season-best time of 6.97 seconds in the prelims of the 60m at the Summit League meet ... Season-best 200m time of 22.75 in the prelims at the league meet ... Season-best 400m time of 49.39 at the Bill Bergan Invitational on Feb. 1.
Outdoor (Junior): Posted NDSU's top times in the 100m (10.97) and 200m (22.04) for the season ... Owned The Summit League's top 400m time at 48.82 going into the Summit League Outdoor Championships, but did not compete.

2012-13 SEASON

Indoor (Redshirt): Competed unattached as a redshirt ... Posted season-best performances of 6.85 seconds in the 60m, 22.23 in the 200m, 34.84 in the 300m, and 49.98 in the 400m. 
Outdoor (Redshirt): Competed unattached as a redshirt.

2011-12 SEASON

INDOOR (Sophomore): Established spots in the NDSU all-time top 10 in the 60m, 200m and 300m ... season-best 60m time of 6.81 seconds to win the Bison Invitational on Jan. 15 is tied for seventh in NDSU history ... 200m time of 22.05 seconds at the Husker Invitational on Feb. 4 is tied for eighth all-time at NDSU ... won the Dakota Duals 300m dash in 34.86 seconds on Dec. 10, ranking him No. 3 all-time at NDSU ... set the Dakota Duals meet record in the 60m dash at 6.85 seconds ... also ran 49.31 in the 400m dash at the Jack Johnson Classic on Jan. 21 ... missed the Summit League Indoor Championships with injuries sustained in a collision at the Bison Open on Feb. 11.
OUTDOOR (Sophomore): Placed third in the 200m dash and fifth in the 100m dash at the Summit League Outdoor Championships ... led off the Bison 4x100m relay that won the Summit title in 41.30 seconds ... led off the NDSU 4x400m relay that took runner-up honors ... recorded a personal-best 200m time of 21.81 seconds in the conference finals ... season-best 100m time of 10.80 seconds in the conference prelims ... also ran on Bison 4x100m teams at the Drake Relays and Mt. SAC Relays.

2010-11 SEASON

Indoor (Freshman): Competed primarily in the 60 meters and 200 meters...Won the 60 meters at both the Bison Classic and the Bison Open...Ran a personal best time of 6.83 in winning the Bison Open...Finished second at the Summit League Championships with a time of 6.92...Also took fifth in the 200 meters at the league meet with a personal-best time of 22.40...Named Newcomer of the Championships for his performance.
Outdoor (Freshman): Won the 100 meters in a best time of 10.64 at the NDSU-UND Dual...Also won the 200 meters at the Duke Invitational in 22.09...Also finished second in the 400 meters at Duke in 47.76, which is eighth all-time at NDSU...Finished third in the 100 meters at the Summit League Championships in 10.69...Also place fifth in the 200 meters in personal best time of 21.83...Selected Newcomer of the Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner in track and field for Minot High School...Two-time North Dakota state champion in the 400 meters...Set a new state record of 47.88 in winning the state 400 title in 2010...Finished second in the 200 meters and fourth in the 100 meters at the 2010 state meet...Also won the 400 meter state title in 2009...Also an all-state point guard and an all-state running back.

PERSONAL: Son of Derek Smart and Nadine Love...Has one brother, Desmond...Both parents ran track in college...Majoring in sport and recreation leadership with a minor in child development.
