2017-18 SEASON
 
Indoor (Sophomore): Ran a season-best 52.10 in the 400m at the SDSU Indoor Classic on Feb. 9-10 … Also clocked 36.99 in the 300m at the Bison Open on Feb. 2.
Outdoor (Sophomore): Clocked a 400m hurdles season-best time of 57.10 at the UC Riverside Spring Track Classic in the season opener.  

2016-17 SEASON
 
Indoor (Freshman): Season-best 400m dash time of 51.52 at South Dakota State on Jan. 21 … Also had a 600m season-best time of 1:25.90 at the Bison Classic on Jan. 14.
Outdoor (Freshman): Placed 7th in the 400m hurdles at the Summit League Championships, clocking 55.24 in the final … Season-best 400m hurdles time of 54.83 at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival on Apr. 1 … Also had a 400m dash season-best of 50.99 at the Baldy Castillo Invitational on Mar. 17.

2015-16 SEASON
 
Indoor (Redshirt): Competed unattached in two meets while redshirting.
Outdoor (Redshirt): Did not compete.

High School: North Dakota Class A state champion in the 300m hurdles as a senior in 2015 … Placed third in the 400m dash and ran on the state runner-up 4x200m relay team, helping Century HS to a team title his senior year … As a junior, ran on the Century 4x400m relay that clocked an all-time North Dakota record of 3:16.15 with current NDSU teammate Landon Jochim … Took fifth in the 200m dash and 300m hurdles at the state meet as a junior … Earned HS All-America honors at New Balance Nationals in the 4x400m and 4x200m … School record holder in the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relays … Personal-bests of 50.38 in the 400m and 38.56 in the 300m hurdles … Also played football and basketball.
 
Personal: Son of Todd and Shelly Steinwand … Has two older sisters, Jill and Jessie … Majoring in accounting.
