Indoor (Freshman): Season-best high jump mark of 6-04.25 (1.94m), tying for 2nd place at the Thundering Herd Classic on Jan. 13.
Outdoor (Freshman): Cleared a season-best of 6-04.75 (1.95m) in the high jump, winning the Cobber Snow-nami Open on Apr. 21.

High School: Personal-best of 6 feet, 10 inches in the high jump ... Placed 4th at the Minnesota Class AA state meet as both a junior in 2016 and as a senior in 2017 ... Took 7th in the high jump at the state meet as a sophomore ... Cleared 6-10 multiple times during his senior season to set the Blaine HS school record in the high jump ... Won the Northwest Suburban Conference and the Section 5AA titles in the event ... Also clocked under 41 seconds in the 300m hurdles and has run 15.81 in the 110m hurdles.

Personal: Son of Paul and Lisa Hockert ... Has one older sister, Katelyn ... Majoring in architecture.
