2006-07 Season
Indoor Track & Field (Senior): Won both the mile (5:07.99) and the 1,000m (2:58.13) at the Dakota Duals... Also won the mile at the Bison Classic in a time of 5:06.63... Set a huge personal best in the 800m with a time of 2:09.31 at Notre Dame which landed her fourth on NDSU's all-time indoor list ... Won the 400m at the Bison Open. Outdoor Track & Field (Junior): Finished second in both the 800m and the 1,500m to help the Bison win the Division I Independent Championship... Ran a personal best late in the season of 2:08.44 at the Jim Bush Invitational and a personal best in the 1,500m of 4:31.56... Her 1,500m time again landed Halsey on NDSU's all-time list this time at No. 2 and her 800 sits No.4... Claimed victories in the 800m at the Jim Duncan and in the 1,500m at the Howard Wood Relays.
2005-06 Season
Cross Country (Junior): Ran in five races for the Bison... Placed 20th at the Iowa State Open with a 21:08 for 6,000 meters... Ended the season with a 37th-place run at the Division I independent championships... Indoor Track & Field (Junior): Had a pair of titles in the 1,000 with a best of 3:06.30 at the Dakota Duals... Ran her first indoor mile at the University of Washington on Jan. 28, turning in a 5:08.53... Closed the season with a near PR in the 800 with a 2:17.21 at Notre Dame... Outdoor Track & Field (Hardship): Limited to a single race during the outdoor season, running a 2:16.10 at the Hurricane Invitational on March 18.
2004-05 Season
Cross Country: (Sophomore): Competed in one cross country event for the Bison... Placed 12th at the Jackrabbit Open on Oct. 22... Indoor Track & Field (Sophomore): Ran the 800 on seven occasions during the indoor season, with victories coming at the Bison Open (2:20.77) and the Bison Classic (2:22.75)... Dropped to a 2:16.43 at the Iowa State Classic... Ran third leg on the 1,600-meter relay throughout the season... Part of the quartet which took first at the University of Washington with a time of 3:47.33... Outdoor Track & Field (Sophomore): Ran the 800 and the 1,500 while contributing in a number of relays... Crossed the line in 2:15.36 in the 800 and 4:46.98 in the 1,500... Her low time in the 1,500 came at the Division I independent championships where she placed seventh... Second leg of the 3,200-meter relay team that placed tenth at the Drake Relays.
2003-2004 Season
Indoor Track & Field (Freshman): Opened her career at NDSU with a runner-up showing in the MSU-Mankato Alumni Open’s 500-meter dash with a time of 1:19.74... Dropped that time by more than a second with a 1:18.40 run at the Bison Open... Contributing member of 800-, 1,600- and 3,200-meter relays during the indoor season... Outdoor Track & Field (Freshman): Ran third leg on relay teams competing at the Drake and Kansas Relays... Focused on the 800-meter run outdoors, cutting her time down to 2:15.20 for the two-lap event.
2002-03 Season: Redshirt.
High School: Completed an impressive run through the Montana Class C state meet for Harlowton High School... Won the 100, 200, 400 and 800 as a senior... Also took the baton on the state champion 400- and 1,600-meter relay teams... Eight-time state champion and 13-time state placewinner... All-state second-team performer on the basketball court and also competed in volleyball... Prep track coach was Michele Wrzesinski... Personal: Daughter of Sky and Eileen Halsey... Has one brother, Sheff, and one sister, Ryann... Academic interests include zoology and art.
